We were thrilled to host the Guides Association of New York City. The professional tour guides came by public transportation. For most it was their first time on Staten Island.
We gave a tour of our site, culminating in the North Cemetery. The history of our Congregation is so continuous that, though the conversation may start with an event in 17th century, it inevitably ends sometime in the 21st.
Jennifer Sammartino, Director of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, gave an overview during the business part of the meeting. The evening ended with a slide presentation. You can see the guides looking around appreciatively at the dramatic Teale Space.
